Depois de já ter sido emprestado noutras épocas, o clube quis mantê-lo na equipa B, o que adivinha que não tardará muito a chegar à equipa principal. Tem qualidade para isso! Uma das suas principais características não faz parte do reportório da maioria dos laterais, que é a óptima aptidão para bater as bolas paradas (seja cantos ou livres); neste contexto, temos ainda os cruzamentos, também eles muito precisos e bastante abonatórios para o sucesso de quem finaliza. Podemos considerá-lo um lateral bastante completo. Apresenta enorme propensão ofensiva, com bom drible e velocidade, mas também cumpre eficazmente a função quando se trata de defender. Em termos físicos, é muito bom pois é veloz e ágil apresentando uma boa robustez e estatura. Quanto a nós, Rafa já deu provas suficientes que será um jogador importante na equipa do Porto, no futuro. Para além disto, durante esta época, deixou a sensação que poderia ter sido utilizado mais jogos na equipa principal. It's great finishing and shotting, attributes in which we can see his good technical ability, as previously mentioned. Mané took advantage of the opportunities that Leonardo Jardim provided to him. He was predominant in some of Sporting victories, doing so assists as well some crucial goals. Desde então, tem sido muito regular na equipa, actua como extremo esquerdo e é um jogador longilíneo, dotado de uma grande capacidade de aceleração e técnica individual. Faz da sua velocidade uma arma, sendo bastante ágil e com grande facilidade de remate com ambos os pés. É bastante frio na hora de finalizar e inteligente em termos tacticos demonstrando uma grande maturidade e capacidade de analisar o jogo. Deve melhorar a sua capacidade de cruzamento, parecendo ser o seu maior handicap, mas é um jogador com grande qualidade e muito forte no 1x1. Será certamente mais um valor para a "laranja mecânica" aproveitar e quem sabe um grande clube europeu.
