A sua chamada à equipa principal tem sido retardada pela presença de bons atacantes na equipa como Kuyt , Webo ou Emunike, que têm tido a preferência do treinador. No entanto, Semih não perde a esperança e em todas as oportunidades dá o seu máximo para provar o seu valor. Entre as suas melhores qualidades estão a velocidade e a precisão do seu remate.
