Numa listagem em que figuram nomes como Luke Shaw, Halilovic, Sterling, Januzaj (...), Emre Can não deixa de ser um dos nomes a merecer mais atenção, dadas as suas variadas qualidades e também, porque demonstra uma enorme versatilidade. É um meio campista muitíssimo completo, que pode muito bem participar com igual eficiência tanto no processo ofensivo como no defensivo. Os seus desarmes são bastante eficazes, tal como a sua saída com bola no pé. É rápido e tem um bom drible, o que lhe permite galgar bastantes metros facilitando o sucesso dos contra ataques da equipa, tudo isto aliado a ótima técnica. A visão de jogo (característica fulcral num organizador de jogo) é muito evoluída, e ainda apresenta muito bons índices de passe. Depois desta descrição, compreende-se a nossa indicação de jogador "muitíssimo completo", está aí o porquê. Todavia, o jovem médio apresenta ainda uma grande lacuna na vertente psicológica... Esperemos que numa equipa de segundo patamar como é o Bayer Leverkusen, este fim seja atingido, de forma a que Emre Can possa chegar ao nível de enormes meio campistas como Pirlo ou Matic.
