Description: Jherson Vergara was one of the highlights of the last under-20 worldcup. This center back is physically imposing, strong in the air and with excellent positional sense. Quite strong in marking and in his fellow coverings, rarely complicates preferring to take the ball out of danger zones. Feels quite comfortable, revealing security in the first phase of construction and has a good long pass. In offensive freeckics situations is a player to take into account because of his height and ability to attack the ball. It has all the features to reach the highest level and the option for Italy seems to be the right one. Bastante forte na marcação e a dar cobertura aos companheiros do sector, raramente complica preferindo tirar a bola de zonas de perigo. Sente-se bastante confortável, revelando segurança na primeira fase de construção e possui um bom passe longo. Nas situações de bola parada ofensiva é um jogador a ter em conta pela sua altura e capacidade de atacar a bola. Tem  todas as características para chegar ao mais alto nível e a opção por Itália parece-nos a mais acertada. Terá espaço para evoluir e aprender com os melhores da sua posição e agora colegas de equipa como o caso de Bonera, Zapata e Mexés.
